- The Nets will be without guard Jordan Farmar, who went down with back spasms during warmups Friday night. “Hopefully we’ll have him back for Monday (against Denver),” Nets coach Avery Johnson said. “He’s a little bit better, but not anywhere close to being ready to play in a game.”
- Brandon Jennings is slated to return to action after missing 19 games with a broken left foot. “He won’t start,” Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. “I have a pretty strict, under-12-minute limit on him, so I don’t want to put him out there at the beginning of the game. I’ll wait till maybe the last timeout of the first quarter.”
- Milwaukee’s John Salmons will miss his seventh straight game with a strained right hip, and Chris Douglas-Roberts excused to attend a family funeral, new pickup Garrett Temple can expect to see solid minutes. Temple is on a 10-day contract and had eight points, three rebounds and three assists while playing a big role in a 98-90 victory over Atlanta on Wednesday. Also, forward Drew Gooden will miss his fifth straight game and 20th overall with plantar fasciitis of the left foot. The Bucks are playing their 45th game of the season, and Skiles has yet to have to put a healthy player on the inactive list for a game.
