CAVALIERS AT GRIZZLIES, 8 P.M. ET

  • With still a small chance of surpassing the Los Angeles Clippers for the No. 4 playoff spot and home court advantage in the Western Conference, Grizzlies’ coach Lionel Hollins said all of his main players will dress and play in tonight’s game. How much they play, however, is undetermined. With two games remaining, the Grizzlies are one game behind the Clippers. Since the Clippers won the season series, 2-1, the Grizzlies would have to win their two remaining games, and the Clippers lose both of theirs, in order for them to finish fourth.
  • After starting Manny Harris at shooting guard and Anthony Parker at small forward against San Antonio Sunday, Cleveland coach Byron Scott said he’s going with Alonzo Gee at small forward and moving Parker back to shooting guard tonight.
  • Just five days after his second 10-day contract with Cleveland expired, guard Lester Hudson finds himself preparing to face his former teammates. Hudson, a Memphis native, was signed by the Grizzlies for the remainder of the season. During pre-game warm ups, he had a chance to socialize with his former Cleveland teammates. While with the Cavs, Hudson averaged 12.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 13 games. He had a career-high 26-point game against New Jersey. “It was good to see him,” Scott said. “I got to talk to him briefly. It look like he’s happy, which is the most important thing. “
  • The Cavs are without forward Anderson Varejao (right wrist fracture), guard Daniel Gibson (torn tendon in left ankle), and center Semih Erden (right ankle sprain).

That doesnt make sense..if they are a game behind..with two games to go and the clippers have two games to go..wouldnt that make them even if memphis won their last two..and clippers lost theirs? Not to mention the fact that the clippers own the tiebreak

How would that make it even?? lol your math is off. If the Grizzlies win once and the clippers lose to atlanta than the two teams are tied. Then if the Grizz beat Orlando and clippers lose again than the Grizzlies are ahead by one game. Whats not to understand??
