Pistons at Nuggets, 8 p.m. ET

TV: League Pass

  • Nuggets coach George Karl is looking for better starts in the first five minutes of each half. Denver has struggled out of the locker room in its 0-3 start. “Statistically, the first five minutes of the first and second half, it’s amazing how closely it resembles the rest of the game,” Karl said. “Seems like the other 38 minutes is a push. The beginning of each half has a rhythm and a rhyme to what happens at the end of the game. I never understood that but statistically it’s kind of unique.”
  • Detroit F Corey Maggette is inactive for the fourth straight game with a left calf strain. He has yet to play in the regular season for the Pistons. He was acquired from Charlotte in the offseason.
  • Nuggets F Wilson Chandler will be back in the lineup tonight after sitting out Saturday’s loss at Miami. Chandler, who is still trying to recover from left hip surgery in the offseason, will not play in back-to-back games so he will sit when Denver plays at Houston on Wednesday night.
