- No. 1-draft pick Anthony Davis will miss his fourth straight game because of an injury to his left ankle, Hornets coach Monty Williams said. “He’s still in that boot,’’ Williams said. “I was hoping he’d start feeling better. I was hoping to have him back in a week. But I don’t know.’’
- The Suns shook up their starting line-up before a victory Tuesday over the Blazers and the Hornets plan to do the same Friday. Williams said Roger Mason Jr. will replace rookie Austin Rivers. “We’re trying to find combinations,’’ Williams said. Rivers, a rookie guard from Duke, is 8-for-21 from the floor over his last three games.
- Suns forward Michael Beasley has a sprained pinkie finger on his left hand, his shooting hand. He wore a wrap on the hand after the Suns home victory Tuesday over the Blazers. He’s 17-for-45 from the floor over the last three games. “He’s got to continue to try to get into a rhythm and things like that,’’ Suns coach Alvin Gentry said. “I also think he’s got to adjust and be willing to create.’’
- After missing six games, Suns center Jermaine O’Neal is making an impact. In three games, he is making the most out of 21.0 minutes off the bench with 13.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.33 steals and 1.67 steals. He has scored in double figures in three successive games for the first time since 2010 during his final season with the Heat.
