BUCKS AT NETS, 6 P.M. ET

TV:  League Pass

  • Reggie Evans will start for Kris Humphries, according to the Twitter account of the Nets’ Public Relations department. The news came as a late surprise.
  • Drew Gooden will play for the Bucks, while Mike Dunleavy (bruised left knee) is out, according to coach Scott Skiles. Skiles said the Bucks wanted to up the tempo against the Nets.
  • Nets coach Avery Johnson still did not have a definitive timetable for Brook Lopez‘s return, explaining that Lopez needed to practice, recover, go through shootaround, and then recover again, before being cleared to play in a game. Lopez’s injury has paved the way for Andray Blatche to shine in the starting lineup, although Johnson noted he still needs better defense from Blatche. Blatche’s shift to the starting lineup has also put Nets’ bench rotation in a bind. “You just keep trying things, until you find the right mixture,” Johnson said.
  • Deron Williams chatted with reporters about Manny Pacquiao’s fight from Saturday night. Pacquiao was knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez.
