NUGGETS AT KINGS, 6 P.M. ET

TV: League Pass

  • The Sacramento Kings will be without the services of shooting guard Marcus Thornton again.  Thornton is away from the team and missing his third straight game due to personal reasons.  “When things settle down for he and his personal issue that he’s dealing with his family, then he’ll get back to us,” Kings coach Keith Smart said before the game.  “I won’t rush him.”
  • It looks like the Nuggets will be getting reinforcements soon in the form of injured forward Wilson Chandler and guard Julyan Stone.  Chandler has played only four games this season for Denver due to a left hip injury, and Stone has yet to take the court due to a right hip injury.  “I think he’s supposed to join us hopefully tomorrow,” Nuggets coach George Karl told reporters before the game.  “He’ll be down from Vail tomorrow and I don’t think he’ll play this week, but we’ll get him on then court as soon as conditioning wise our guys feel he can play without injury.  I think he and Julyan [Stone] will both be playing some basketball, at least in practices very soon.”
