KNICKS AT KINGS, 10 P.M. ET

TV: League Pass

  • Carmelo Anthony joins the long list of injured Knicks tonight when they take on the Kings in Sacramento.  Anthony is struggling with a hyperextended left knee and will join Raymond Felton (fractured finger), Rasheed Wallace (sore left foot), Iman Shumpert (torn left ACL/meniscus) and Amar’e Stoudemire (left knee debridgement) on the Knicks inactive list tonight.  Coach Mike Woodson told reporters he would use the same starting line-up of James White, Jason Kidd, Ronnie Brewer, Kurt Thomas and Tyson Chandler, that beat the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.
  • DeMarcus Cousins will return tonight for the Kings after missing Sunday’s game due to suspension and Wednesday game when coach Keith Smart informed him he would not be traveling with the team to Portland.  “We just want to get this thing behind us,” Smart told reporters before the game.  “It’s time to move on, move forward.  We’ve gone through what has happened and now we just want to get back and focus on the basketball and not all of the other things that are besides basketball.”
  • The Kings will once again be without guard Tyreke Evans who will miss another game due to a sore left knee.  “He’s pretty close,” Smart said in his pre-game media scrum.  “He worked out real well yesterday.  Did some work this morning on what we call the G-Trainer.  He did some sprint work on the treadmill and we’re looking forward to another day of practice tomorrow and then hopefully we can get him back on the floor.”
