- The Sacramento Kings will be without the services of guard Tyreke Evans again tonight. He was scheduled to return today, but after practicing yesterday with the team, the Kings medical staff wants to wait for a second opinion before moving forward. “He came in and worked out yesterday and did a good job with his workouts,” coach Keith Smart told reporters before the game when asked if Evans would be looking for a second opinion. “He just wasn’t able to go this morning. I would imagine that he starts looking in that direction. It’s really upsetting for the young man because he was starting to play at such a great clip.”
- The Celtics get a boost tonight in the form of guards Rajon Rondo, who missed Saturday night’s game with a bruised right hip and thigh and Leandro Barbosa, who has missed most of the last two weeks due to a family issue. “He has to be exhausted, but if we need him, we’re going to play him” coach Doc Rivers told the media regarding Barbosa. “But he’s had a tough go. The fact that he could make it is nice, but honestly, I hope I don’t have to use him, but he’s ready to play.”
- The Celtics are finishing up a four game road trip in which they are 1-2, while the Kings are coming off a home win and leave for a four-game road trip beginning Tuesday in Detroit.
