- The Toronto Raptors (11-20) start 2013 on a season-high six-game homestand against the Portland Trail Blazers (16-14) on Wednesday. The Raptors are 7-5 at home and have won four in a row at the Air Canada Centre, but have lost to the Blazers in their last eight meetings. Most recently, Dec. 10th in Portland, where they held the Blazers to 0-for-20 shooting from the three-point line, yet still came up short 92-74.
- The Blazers are 1-0 after starting their four-game road trip on Tuesday, defeating the New York Knicks, 105-100. This is their second game of a back-to-back and Portland is 8-2 in their last 10 games. LaMarcus Aldridge went for 19 points and 14 rebounds against the Knicks and was a problem for the Raptors in their last meeting, netting 30 points and 12 boards.
- The Raptors return home after blowing out the Orlando Magic 123-88 on Saturday. Winning their seventh of their last eight games, Toronto shot a season-high 15 3-pointers.
