JAZZ AT PISTONS, 7:30 P.M. ET

TV: League Pass

  • Jazz forward Marvin Williams will miss his third consecutive game with knee inflammation, joining point guard Mo Williams (thumb surgery) on the sidelines. Coach Ty Corbin says his team misses Mo’s speed and Marvin’s length. Marvin could return as soon as Monday against Miami. ”Marvin’s coming ar0und,” Corbin said. “We’ll see when we get back.”
  • Utah squandered a 15-point lead against Atlanta Friday. “It was a blow last night,” Corbin said. “We have to move forward. This team has always shown that resolve. If they don’t play their best basketball, they come back and respond to it. We expect a great effort tonight.”
  • Pistons center Greg Monroe and point guard Brandon Knight combined for 46 points against Milwaukee on Friday. Coach Lawrence Frank wants to see that on a regular basis. “You’re always going to have (good) nights,” he said. “The key is you want those nights to be the norm.”
  • Rookie center Andre Drummond has gotten many of his baskets off lobs from guard Will Bynum. “You need to have space to make those plays,” Frank said. “Will is one of our best pick and roll players and Andre is our best finisher but if there’s not space on the court, those lobs aren’t there.”
