MAGIC AT CLIPPERS, 3:30 P.M. ET

TV: League Pass

  • Clippers guard Grant Hill is expected to make his season debut when L.A. hosts the Magic today at Staples Center. The 40-year-old veteran has been sidelined since the preseason with a bone bruise in his right knee. Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said Hill would play limited minutes against the Magic. Hill spent six seasons in Orlando from 2000-2007 but injuries prevented him from duplicating the success he had in Detroit during his first six years in the NBA. The Clippers signed Hill in the offseason after he spent the last five seasons in Phoenix. Hill is averaging 17.1 points and 6.1 rebounds for his career.
  • The Magic limp into L.A. without second-leading scorer Glen Davis, who will miss his 11th consecutive game with a sprained left shoulder, as well as back-up forwards Gustavo Ayon (right thigh contusion) and Hedo Turkoglu (left hand) and reserve guard E’Twaun Moore (sprained left elbow). Ayon will miss his fourth consecutive game. Turkoglu broke his hand in the season opener Nov. 2, underwent surgery and returned Dec. 29. He continued to feel discomfort in the hand in the five games following his return, however, and sat out Wednesday’s loss against Denver.
