TV: League Pass

  • J.J. Barea has rejoined the Timberwolves (16-17) and is expected to get some playing time tonight. Barea missed the last two games because of back spasms, and he traveled to Dallas to see a a physician for a cortisone injection in the back. “Completely felt great right after,” Barea said. “Today, I feel awesome.”
  • Lazar Hayward is back with the team after missing the Timberwolves’ 104-92 loss at New Orleans on Friday because of an illness. He is a game-time decision.
  • Tim Duncan is 14-for-41 his last three games (and also has 14 turnovers) after shooting 69-for-121 (57 percent) in the nine previous games for San Antonio (28-11). Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said he is unsure of the reason. “I don’t know,” Popovich said. “He’s had a tough time. But he’ll work through it. Is he just missing them — is he tired? Who knows? There’s no way to gauge that sort of thing.” Popovich said Duncan would not admit to being tired.
