TRAIL BLAZERS AT NUGGETS, 9 P.M. ET

  • Nuggets guard Ty Lawson will likely play despite not taking part in Tuesday morning’s shootaround because of an illness. He was at the arena but was instructed to rest. Lawson missed one game two weeks ago because of a left Achilles strain but has not missed a game since.
  • Denver has put behind its record-setting night of shooting in Portland on Dec. 20. The Nuggets missed all 22 of their 3-pointers, which is an NBA record for a single game. It broke the record set by the Trail Blazers just 10 days before. Portland was 0-for-20 against Toronto. “Sometimes you just have bad shooting nights,” Denver coach George Karl said.
  • The Trail Blazers will try to become the first team in this series to win on the road in the last 13 total games between the teams. Portland has not won in Denver since Dec. 16, 2007, and has lost seven in a row at Pepsi Center. Having LaMarcus Aldridge playing might help. The forward has averaged 20.7 points and 7.7 rebounds in his last three games against the Nuggets. He sat out the Dec. 20 game with a sore left ankle.
