TRAIL BLAZERS AT CLIPPERS, 9:30 P.M. ET

TV:  League Pass

  • Clippers point guard Chris Paul will miss his fourth straight game and seventh in the last nine when L.A. hosts the Trail Blazers tonight at Staples Center. Paul suffered a bruised right kneecap Jan. 12 in a loss to the visiting Magic. The Clippers won the next three games without him, but have lost the last three with him on the bench, stretching their losing streak to four games.
  • The Clippers didn’t have to wait long to get another shot at the Trail Blazers after giving up the final 10 points of a 101-100 loss Saturday night in Portland. The Trail Blazers have been one of the top comeback teams in the league this season. Though they led at halftime of Saturday’s game, they’ve come back to win nine other games in which they trailed at the half,  second only to the Pacers (10).
  • Portland forward Nicolas Batum has notched two triple-doubles in the last week, the first such milestones of his five-year career. Only Clyde Drexler has recorded two triple-doubles in the same week in franchise history. In two games against the Clippers this season, the 6-8 small forward is averaging 21.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists.
  • Clippers forward Blake Griffin will have a tough time repeating what he accomplished Saturday night in Portland. Griffin finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, 10 assists and four steals, joining LeBron James as the only player in the last three seasons to record such numbers.
