TRAILBLAZERS AT TIMBERWOLVES, 8:00 P.M. ET

TV: League Pass

  • Portland has defeated Minnesota in both of their games this season: 103-95 at Portland on Nov. 23 and 102-97 in Minnesota on Jan. 5.  Guard Wesley Matthews has been a key factor for Portland in both games. He averaged 28.0 ppg on 62.5% shooting (20-for-32), including 76.9% from 3-point range (10-for-13), in those two games. He is listed as questionable for tonight’s game due to a sprained right ankle. But Portland team officials are hopeful that he will be able to go.
  • Minnesota guard, Ricky Rubio continues to get his legs under him. Over the last four games Rubio has averaged 103. ppg, on 46.9% shooting, 6.5 assists and 2.5 steals in 27 minutes per game. He has six or more assists in nine of the last ten games.
  • Minnesota forward, Dante Cunningham set a Wolves single-game record on Saturday for the most field goals made without a miss. He was 9-for-9. If he makes his first four field goals tonight, he will tie the Wolves record for consecutive field goals, a record held by Felton Spencer and Kevin Garnett.
