LAKERS AT NETS, 7:30 P.M. ET

TV: NBA TV

  • Both teams will be shorthanded. For the Nets, Andray Blatche (illness) and Jerry Stackhouse (stiff neck) are game-time decisions, while MarShon Brooks (sprained right ankle) is questionable and C.J. Watson (sprained left ankle) is probable. Nets Coach P.J. Carlesimo said all were available, but that Brooks was the least likely to play.
  • Carlesimo talked about possibly giving Mirza Teletovic minutes at small forward in a big lineup, using the Lakers’ Metta World Peace as a comparison point.
  • World Peace is suspended for his role in an altercation with the Pistons’ Brandon Knight while Dwight Howard (torn right labrum) is out. Pau Gasol and Antawn Jamison will start in place of Howard and World Peace.
  • Lakers Coach Mike D’Antoni identified his team’s ball movement as a significant factor in their recent improvement, highlighted by five wins in the last six games. “Kobe [Bryant] kind of led that…and everybody kind of picked up on that and from there our defensive energy picked up.”
