- Heat center Chris Bosh will not play because of the flu. Bosh missed the morning shootaround, but is expected to be ready for Friday’s game against the Clippers. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra he will likely start forward Shane Battier in place of Bosh, moving Udonis Haslem from forward to center.
- Heat guard Dwyane Wade referred to the Rockets as a “modern day Phoenix Suns” because of their ability to shoot 3-pointers. They tied the NBA record with 23 in Tuesday’s blowout victory against Golden State.
- Miami forward LeBron James is shooting 60 percent from the field in the last 11 games. He was 13 of 14 from the field in Monday’s win against the Bobcats, joining the likes of Wilt Chamberlain, Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard in terms of efficiency. James said, “It’s pretty cool when I didn’t know it hasn’t been done since Wilt did it. I think he owns almost every efficiency stat that we have in mankind… It’s pretty cool where you’re linked to one of the greatest.”
- Rockets forward Chandler Parsons is shooting 10-of-21 from the 3-point arc in the past three games.
