  • The Magic will have 11 players in uniform as shooting guard Arron Afflalo (left calf strain) is active and will start in his first action since Jan. 27 against Detroit. Afflalo missed Orlando’s last six games; four with the calf injury and two because of personal reasons. “Arron is 100 percent healthy and good to go,” Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said. “It’s up to me to make sure I use him in the right way tonight.”
  • Out for Orlando are shooting guard J.J. Redick (right shoulder soreness), small forward Hedo Turkoglu (flu), power forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis (left foot fracture), and small forward Al Harrington (right knee surgery). Redick worked out before the game on the court, but was ruled out for the third straight contest, while Turkoglu will miss his second game in a row.
  • The Magic has lost a season-high 11 straight games, last winning on Jan. 16 against Indiana. It is the longest active losing streak in the NBA. Orlando’s starters are point guard Jameer Nelson, Afflalo, small forward Maurice Harkless, power forward Andrew Nicholson, and center Nikola Vucevic. Shooting guard E’Twaun Moore returns to the bench with Afflalo back.
  • The Cavaliers’ lineup consists of point guard Kyrie Irving, shooting guard Dion Waiters, small forward Alonzo Gee, power forward Tristan Thompson, and center Tyler Zeller. That group has an 8-6 record, while Cleveland’s other starting fives are 7-28. Irving will compete in the NBA All-Star Game, Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, and BBVA Rising Stars Challenge next weekend.
  • The Cavaliers’ inactives are center Anderson Varejao (right knee surgery) and point guard Josh Selby (NBA D-League assignment). Nelson raved about Varejao to Orlando reporters, unaware that he has been ruled out for the season. “I heard Andy was playing tonight,” Cleveland coach Byron Scott quipped. “I wish somebody would tell me what the hell was going on.”
  • Incoming NBA commissioner Adam Silver spoke with select Cavaliers season ticket holders and sponsors before the game, but did not meet with the media.
