JAZZ AT KINGS, 10 P.M. ET

TV: League Pass

  • Sacramento Kings fans have made a huge push to sell our Sleep Train Arena tonight, turning up in masses to show the NBA and the other 29 teams in the league that Sacramento is still a viable NBA market.  The fans have dubbed tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz “Here We Buy Night” as they remain hopeful that the NBA will allow Mayor Kevin Johnson and his team to come up with a local buyer to keep the team in the capitol of California.  “We want to make sure we can put on a good show,” coach Keith Smart said before the game.  “That’s the plan, to have a good show and for our guys to really, really show these people here that they are still excited.  With all the things that are going on with our basketball team and our city, that they still want to showcase themselves as a good basketball team.”
  • Gordon Hayward (right shoulder sprain) and Mo Williams (right thumb surgery) will miss another game tonight due to injuries.  Hayward has missed the teams last six games, but is expected back soon, while Williams has missed 13 straight after surgery and will be out for a while.  “He’s getting better,” Tyrone Corbin said of Hayward during his pre-game press scrum.  “I can’t say how far, but he’s getting better everyday.  He’s working hard to get back out on the floor.  We want to make sure that he is ready to go when he gets back and not take a chance of getting him hurt further.”
