SPURS AT NETS, 8 P.M. ET

TV: League Pass

  • Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich said that neither Tim Duncan (sore left knee) nor Manu Ginobili (hamstring) would play. Popovich also repeatedly joked about how badly the Spurs beat the Nets on New Year’s Eve in San Antonio, when they used a 30-5 run in the third quarter to blow the game open.
  • Listed as a gametime decision, C.J. Watson (illness) said he would play.
  • The Spurs, who had an 11-game winning streak snapped on Friday in Detroit, are 9-2 on the first game of back-to-backs this season and an NBA-best 17-10 on the road. They play in Chicago on Monday night.
