  • The Denver Nuggets (33-19) will be undermanned on the wing when they visit the Toronto Raptors (19-32) Tuesday evening. Andre Iguodala (neck strain), Danilo Gallinari (sinus infection) and Wilson Chandler (groin) have all been ruled out for the Nuggets. Corey Brewer and rookie Evan Fournier are expected to start in place of Iguodala and Gallinari. Andrea Bargnani is active and will come off the bench for Toronto after missing Sunday’s game with flu-like symptoms.
  • The Nuggets are coming off a 118-114 triple overtime defeat in Boston on Sunday. The loss snapped a nine-game win steak, their longest in nearly eight years. Guard Ty Lawson scored a game-high 29 against the Celtics and is averaging 20.0 points over his last 11 games after scoring just 13.0 in the previous 11. “Now I think [he’s been] great, I was ready to strangle him about six weeks ago,” coach George Karl joked. “I think he came into the season a little distracted and there are not many players in this league who can be very successful distracted and unfocused.”
  • Denver has won 15 of its last 17 games against the Raptors, averaging 114.6 points in those victories. The Nuggets were victorious, 113-110, in the most recent meeting on December 3, 2012 despite a late-game run from Kyle Lowry and the Raptors. Lowry scored half of his 24 points in the fourth as Toronto cut a 17-point deficit to two in the final quarter, only to come up short.
  • The Raptors have won three of five games since acquiring forward Rudy Gay from Memphis. Gay has poured in 20 or more points, leading the team in scoring in each of the five games he’s played for Toronto. He is averaging 23.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.0 steals as a member of the Raptors.
