JAZZ AT TIMBERWOLVES, 8 P.M. ET

TV: League Pass

  • Despite holding down the 7th spot in the Western Conference, trade rumors continue to swirl around Jazz forwards Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap. The New York Daily News reported today on the possibility of the Brooklyn Nets targeting Milsap after giving up on Ben Gordon and Josh Smith. Coach Tyrone Corbin would not comment on the rumors regarding either of his big men in pregame interviews.
  • The injury-riddled season of the Timberwolves continues tonight with Andrei Kirilenko missing his fifth straight game due to a strained right quadriceps suffered Feb. 4 against Portland. Luke Ridnour, who turns 32 today, is not only the oldest player in the locker room, he is the only one to play in all 49 games for the Wolves. “He’s a tough, tough guy,” said coach Rick Adelman. “People, I don’t think, look at him that way, but he’s tough. He takes on the challenges.”
  • Timberwolves guard Rickey Rubio continues to see his playing time increase since the minutes restrictions was lifted by Adelman on February 1. With the increase in minutes his statistics have exceeded pre-injury levels as over the last five games, Rubio is averaging 14.4 points and 10 assists in 34.2 minutes a game. He averaged 10.6 points and 8.2 assists before the injury.
