  • The game will be lacking real star power. Deron Williams will miss his second straight game with synovitis in both of his ankles. C.J. Watson will start in his place and Tyshawn Taylor, who played the best game of his rookie season on Monday in Indiana, will also fill in. 
  • Andre Iguodala (right cervical strain) and Danilo Gallinari (sinus infection) are out for the Nuggets, while Javale McGee and Wilson Chandler will play. Nuggets Coach George Karl said Chandler would start and guard Gerald Wallace. “The stew is going to be cooked as the game goes on,” Karl said of his lineup.
  • Karl classified the matchup as power (the Nets) vs. pace (the Nuggets), which is fitting. The Nuggets play the second-fasted brand of basketball in the NBA while the Nets rank last.
