  • Chandler Parsons (sprained right ankle) will play for the Rockets.
  • Joe Johnson (plantar fasciitis) is out for the Nets. C.J. Watson will start in his place and Tyshawn Taylor might also see minutes, according to Nets interim Coach P.J. Carlesimo.
  • Nets General Manager Billy King met with the media before the game to discuss the injury. King said that Johnson was feeling the effects of a sore heel after Wednesday’s game in Milwaukee. King said Johnson would likely play on Sunday against the Grizzlies.
  • The matchup is one of contrasting styles and Carlesimo reiterated that the Nets need to slow the Rockets’ high octane offense down in order to win. The Nets failed to do that in giving up 119 points in a loss to the Rockets three weeks ago.
