- Bulls point guard Kirk Hinrich warmed up tonight but will not play, his right elbow still has some pain. Former Thunder guard Nate Robinson will start again at the point for the Bulls.
- New Thunder guard Ronnie Brewer, who used to play for the Bulls and was acquired at the trade deadline from the Knicks, is with the team tonight but will not play. “I’m very excited about being here with great players and a great coach and it’s close to home for me,” (Arkansas). He’s expected to see his first action Wednesday night against New Orleans.
- OKC leads the NBA in scoring at 106.7 ppg, the Bulls are third in defense allowing just 91.1 ppg.
- Defense has been a big problem for the Thunder lately. They’ve allowed 113 ppg over the last four games. What would head coach Scott Brooks like to see from his defense? “Oh hold a team under 100 points or even 110,” he cracked. That very well might happen tonight with the Bulls averaging just 93.9 ppg (28th in the NBA). In fact in two of their last four games Chicago hasn’t broken the 70 point mark (67 vs. Heat & 69 vs. Celtics).
