GRIZZLIES AT NETS, 7 P.M. ET

TV: ESPN

  • For the Nets, Joe Johnson (sore left heel) and Jerry Stackhouse (rest) are out.
  • Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins addressed a minor controversy stemming from the last time the teams met, when Reggie Evans criticized Hollins for leaving his starters in a game after the outcome seemed to be decided. “I’m not giving up until I think we have the game in hand,” Hollins said. “Apologies to Reggie Evans, but I wasn’t thinking about the Nets and trying to embarrass them.”
  • The Grizzlies have won 7 of 9, including 6 in a row, since acquiring Tayshaun Prince, Austin Daye and Ed Davis in a three-team trade. The Grizzlies were 25th league-wide in assists-to-field-goals made before the trade and have been third since at 64%.
  • Grizzlies are 17-0 when scoring 100 points. The Grizzlies and Nets are two of the NBA’s three slowest teams.
