Timberwolves at Suns, 9 p.m. ET

TV: League Pass

  • Two teams whose season is over and who are better off playing for lottery balls face off. The Suns are at least healthy, while the Timberwolves have their usual assortment of injured players, including Kevin Love, Brandon Roy, Chase Budinger and Malcolm Lee.
  • The Suns have lost 18 of 24 and 24 of 31 (they were 11-15 at one point) while the Timberwolves have lost 18 of 22 and 24 of 32 (they were 12-9 at one point).
  • Michael Beasley’s erratic season continues for the Suns. He had a notable upswing after Lindsey Hunter took over as coach from Alvin Gentry. But he’s hit bottom again. The past four games, he’s averaged just 4.3 points on 27 percent shooting. He barely played in a loss Sunday night to the Spurs.
  • The Wolves’ Derrick Williams, generally a disappointment after the T-Wolves picked him No. 2 overall two years ago, is on a roll. Over the past eight games, he’s averaging 16.1 points plus 8.3 rebounds.
