  • Zaza Pachulia (sore right Achilles) will not play for the Hawks. DeShawn Stevenson is expected to start at small forward and make his Brooklyn debut against the Nets, who traded him to the Hawks in the offseason.
  • If the Nets want to replicate the success of their victory over the Hawks on March 9, they will need to contain Jeff Teague again. Teague scored only seven points on 2-for-9 shooting eight days ago in Atlanta, but scored a combined 49 points when the Nets and Hawks played in a January back-to-back.
  • Nets coach P.J. Carlesimo took aim at the idea that the Nets would be tied with the Knicks if they won tonight. “I don’t care what the numbers say,” he said after riffing abstractly on the differences between a tie and a virtual tie.
