Timberwolves at Suns, 10 p.m.

TV: League Pass

  • For the Suns (23-46), swingman Jared Dudley and big man Jermaine O’Neal are ill and are out, coach Lindsey Hunter said. Big man Marcin Gortat remains out with a foot injury. So who will play center? Luis Scola backed up by newcomer Hamed Haddadi. “That’s all we got,” Hunter said. “No more bigs.”
  • Fr the Timberwolves (23-43), Kevin Love, Brandon Roy and Malcolm Lee remain out. Chase Buddinger is coming back from a meniscus tear in his left knee sustained Nov. 10. He played 17:30 in his first game back Thursday night at Sacramento and recorded nine points and four rebounds. He probably will play fewer minutes tonight, coach Rick Adelman indicated.
  • The Suns Wes Johnson is averaging 10.6 points since the All Star break. That’s third on the Suns behind Goran Dragic and O’Neal. He is averaging 12.9 in eight starts.
  • The Timberwolves have dropped 13 straight road games against the Western Conference; their last such win came Jan. 3 at Denver.
