  • Joe Johnson will miss tonight’s game with a quad injury. He also has a lingering foot injury. Starting in his place for the Nets will be Keith Bogans.
  • Missing tonight’s game for the Suns will be big man Jermaine O’Neal, who has a calf strain and has been battling an illness. Swingman Jared Dudley, who has been ill, will play in this one. The Suns continue to go without starting center Marcin Gortat, who has a foot injury. He could be out for the rest of the season.
  • The Suns (23-47) are 5-8 over the last 13 games, including just 1-5 against sub-.500 teams and 4-3 against winning teams. They are last in the Western Conference and have the NBA’s fourth-worst record overall.
  • The Nets (40-29) are No. 4 in the East, 2.5 games back of the Knicks and Pacers for the Nos. 2 and 3 spot. They are two games ahead of the Hawks for No. 4 (and homecourt in the first round).
