TV: League Pass
- Rockets starting small forward Chandler Parsons (strained right calf) will return to the lineup Sunday after missing the last four games, relegating Francisco Garcia back to a reserve role. Coach Kevin McHale said he plans to limit Parsons’ playing time to approximately 30 minutes, but he acknowledged that he is open to a change of heart depending on how the game unfolds. “Hopefully his leg feels better,” McHale said. “He’s played a lot of minutes this year.”
- Former Rockets Cole Aldrich, Toney Douglas and Patrick Patterson will make their first appearance at Toyota Center since they were shipped to Sacramento in February in a trade that included ex-Kings Garcia and Thomas Robinson.
- With a victory in its regular-season home finale, Houston will move into sixth place in the Western Conference with two games remaining before the postseason begins. The Rockets (44-35) will actually have the same record as Golden State (45-35) if they defeat the Kings (28-51), but they hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Warriors after taking the season series 3-1.
- Sacramento’s DeMarcus Cousins was whistled for his league-high 15th technical foul in Friday’s loss at San Antonio, leaving the third-year center one tech shy of receiving a one-game suspension with three regular-season contests left to play.
