- Though Los Angles Clippers guard Chris Paul is averaging 18.3 points and 6.7 assists in three playoff games against the Memphis Grizzlies, he’s coming off one of the worst playoff performances of his career. Memphis limited Paul to eight points and four assists and pressured him into five turnovers in its 94-82 Game 3 win over the Clippers on Thursday. Look for Paul to be more aggressive Saturday after going 4-of-11 from the field Thursday.
- Memphis retook control of the boards in its Game 3 win, outrebounding the Clippers 45-33 overall and 17-5 on the offensive glass, which led to a 22-4 advantage for the Grizzlies in second-chance points. Memphis, one of the league’s top rebounding teams, had been outrebounded by the Clippers in Games 1 and 2.
- For the series, Clippers forward Blake Griffin is averaging 15.7 points, but just five rebounds per game. His counterpart, Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph, is averaging 17.7 points and 7.7 rebounds, and is coming off his best game of the series – a 27-point, 11-rebound performance in Game 3.
