  • Even though Marvin Williams (lower back strain) returns from injury after missing Friday’s loss to the Clippers, Jazz coach Ty Corbin said Enes Kanter will stay in the starting lineup. “He’s gotten better, but we’ll go back and forth depending on matchups,” Corbin said. “And we’ll manage Marvin and do the right thing to make sure he can finish the season.” This will be Kanter’s 27th start of the season.
  • Corbin also said John Lucas III (right ankle sprain) is available to play for Utah (22-44, losers of three-straight and eight of the last nine). Lucas has been listed as inactive the last two games, but he has not played since Feb. 28.
  • The Spurs (49-16) have been using Aron Baynes more as the first big off the bench in recent games. Baynes is averaging short of 10 minutes per game this season, yet the last three games he’s played an average of 14.6 minutes (he had 12 points and eight rebounds in almost 18 minutes against the Lakers on Friday). “I’m liking what I’m seeing,” coach Gregg Popovich said. “That’s why I’m playing him.”
